Adding,
removing, and sharing photos or videos in Google Maps is a simple but powerful
way to make places more useful for others and more personal for you. Whether

a quick clip of directions, Google Maps lets you contribute directly to its
community-driven platform. Photos and short videos (up to 30 seconds) can be
uploaded from your phone or computer, tied to a specific place rather than just
an address. You also have full control: you can delete your contributions
anytime, and share them easily via links or social platforms. These features

To improve Google Maps and share your favorite
photos and videos up to 30 seconds long, add them to Google Maps. You can add
or remove them at any time. You can't add photos or videos to addresses or
coordinates.

Add photos or videos to
Google Maps
You can add media such as photos and videos of places of interest, like
businesses or parks. You can't add media to:
·
Addresses
·
Coordinates
·
Private
residences
·
Geographical
areas
Tip: To protect from abuse attempts, some points of interests have posting
restrictions.
Add photos or videos from a place's page
1.
On
your computer, open Google Maps.
2.
Search
for a place.
3.
After
you select a place, scroll down.
4.
Click
Add photos & videos Google Photos.
5.
Select
the photos or videos you want to upload.
6.
Click
Select.
Tips:
·
You
can add photos and videos for points of interest, like businesses or parks.
·
You
can only upload videos from the Google Photos tab.

Add photos or videos from
"Your contributions"
1.
On
your computer, open Google Maps.
2.
In
the top left, click Menu
3.
Your
contributions.
4.
Under
the "Contribute" tab, click Add your photos to Maps. You only get
this option if you take photos or videos on your phone and we can find their
location.
5.
At
the top, click Post
6.
Tip: Make sure that you have
Timeline turned on.
Find your photos or videos
To find photos or videos you shared on Google Maps:
1.
On
your computer, open Google Maps.
2.
In
the top left, click Menu Your contributions.
3.
Choose
Photos.
4.
Tip: Others who use Google
Maps can find your photos, videos, and reviews in “Your contributions.” There’s
a link to “Your contributions” in all the reviews and photos or videos you
submit.
Share photos or videos
1.
On
your computer, open Google Maps.
2.
In
the top left, click Menu Your contributions.
3.
Choose
Photos.
4.
Find
the photo or video you want to share.
5.
In
the top right, click More
6.
Share.
Delete photos or videos
Photos or videos you add on Google Search can be deleted on Google Maps.
1.
On
your computer, open Google Maps.
2.
In
the top left, click Menu Your contributions.
3.
Click
the "Photos" tab to view your contributed photos or videos.
4.
To
delete a photo or video, click More
5.
Delete
this photo.
6.
If you delete photos or
videos on Google Maps, they’re also removed from Google Search. The photos and
videos you delete from Google Maps aren’t removed from:

The
gallery on your phone or tablet
·
Google
Photos, if you have back up & sync turned on
·
Google
Drive, if you have sync turned on
Tip: It can take several minutes to delete photos or videos. If your changes
don’t update right away, close "Your contributions" and re-open it.
